Sandra and Cowboy, the Andean condors

Sandra and Cowboy, the Andean condors, have dinner that consists only of meat. Their strong beaks help them tear through skin to get to the muscles and organs. Sandra is 49 years old, while Cowboy is 38. Condors can live up to 50 years. Sandra came to us from another zoo, and Cowboy was born here. Andean condors are among the largest birds with very big wings. The main threats to these birds are human actions and poaching. We look forward to welcoming you to meet these amazing birds.
