At Tashkent Zoo, we are home to Putri, our Asian elephant and one of the zoo’s most beloved residents. Many visitors come to see her again and again, as it is impossible to remain indifferent to these remarkable animals.

Elephants can recognize members of their own kind even after years apart, care deeply for their family members, and possess truly remarkable memories. Despite their impressive strength and size, they are incredibly sensitive and intelligent animals.
