White - nosed monkey
A common species in Central Africa. It lives in the dense foliage of tropical forests. They live in large groups of 15-20 individuals in territories protected by males. The average body length is 35-50 cm . Males weigh 3-6 kg, females 2-4 kg. Distinctive external features are a black facial area, blue skin around the eyes, a white spot on the nose, white fur on the cheeks. The lower part of the tail has a red-brown color. The cubs are gray at birth. The diet consists of fruits, leaves, flowers, insects, plant shoots. Females reach sexual maturity at 4 years old, males at 5-6 years old. Pregnancy lasts 180 days. Females give birth to 1 cub every year. At 2 months, babies begin to move independently and eat solid food. Life expectancy in nature is about 20 years, in captivity they live up to 25 years.
